Bumble, first women centric dating app is set to launch by the end of 2018 in India. Development and marketing for the bumble already working from last 9 months to work out the tailor made app as per Indian users need.

The app developed by the ex co-founder of popular dating app Tinder Whitney Wolfe in 2014. Whitney settles a sexual harassment case against the Tinder co-founder Justin Mateen in 2014 for $1 million.

Bumble mostly popular in US has unique women initiated conversation approach which make the app different from other dating apps and it’s the sole key feature of the app.

Bumble large stake own by Badoo, Worlds oldest dating service started by Russian Entrepreneur Andrey Andreev started in 2006 and most of its users are from Europe but Badoo have presence in more than 190 countries and in available in 47 different languages.

Around 77% stakes are controlled by Badoo and it was also considering the selling of Bumble at $1.5 billion in January 2018.

Bumble also operate another business app BumbleBizz and it endorsed by Indian Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra who also mentor and Investor.

Indian market mostly controlled by Match making matrimonial sites but the recent Judgment by Supreme court of India on LGBT, laws on extra-marital affairs, Gay sex has opened the business doors for lots of different type of dating apps built for different communities.

Tinder, Happn, TrulyMadly, OkCupid are some of the market leaders in India and all uses the Facebook profile of the user to show on the platform. Currently more than 50 million Indian youth is using one of the dating apps aged between 20 to 34 from urban area.

User can keep its profile information anonymous and display only the required information on the platform which is biggest advantage to the user.

Tinder and Bumble already filed a lawsuit against each other on Patent infringement and related to trade secrets.

Facebook dating recently launched its feature to test in Colombia and having population of more than 1.3 billion of India, everybody from the social media or dating space will come to join the race to lead the market and earn chunk of profit.
