Facebook Controversial PR firm

Former Global head of communications and Policy at Facebook admitted that, he approved to hire the New York based PR firm Definers Public Affairs.

Elliot Schrage hired “Definers” and asked them to push negative narratives or fake news about its competitors in the market, but denied the allegations on the Facebook.

Facebook was fined and criticized in the past over “Cambridge Analytica” scandal where user personal information was provided to synthesize and political ad targeting during General Election of the United States in 2016.Britain fined Facebook “500000 British Pounds” for the same.

Facebook recently hired the Former UK Vice president Nick Clegg to work around the policies and digital service tax forced by European Union on Social media services.
