Will 5G be a national security threat?
Huawei, the world’s largest telecom equipment manufacturer and most advanced 5G tech developer banned by several countries, including United States, Australia, New Zealand and now Germany by citing the national security threat.
Eric Xu, Huawei rotating chairman, told CNBC, he doesn’t care if few countries banned for us to build 5G infrastructure, but eventually it will increase the cost for both end users and telecom operators.
Why so much Panic over 5G tech?
China’s intelligence law, where tech companies need to cooperate with the government whenever required in the country’s interest and security.
United States wants to retain its title of Superpower and it does constantly threaten by China’s advancement in tech and its investment and presence across the Globe.
US banned Huawei and ZTE since 2012 and urged its allied countries to stop using Huawei made telecom equipment’s which can open the back door to access user data to the Chinese government and could be a potential threat to national security .
US already fined ZTE and Huawei over a$1 billion.
Power of 5G
It will help to run autonomous cars, High speed streaming, and IOT devices and of course Cyber attacks in the coming future. Will Cyber-war be a byproduct of 5G in coming future?
