North Korean hackers stole $571 million (INR4000 Crore) in Crypto currencies.

Lazarus, state sponsored hacking group from North Korea has stolen more than $571 million (INR4000 Crore) in last 2 years.

The report published by Group-IB, an international company that specializes in preventing cyber attacks.

Hackers started targeting cryptocurrency by introducing malware, Spear phishing, Social engineering and website defacement into crypt trading.

Hackers identify the local networks and the computers where crypto wallets are installed to introduce the malware.

According to the report, 10% of money got stolen in phishing attack of ICO (Initial Coin Offering) funding in 2017.

In first 6 months of 2018, five successful phishing attacks happened which take almost $18 million.

Lots of fake websites are popping up now a day, as everybody is investing and purchasing crypto tokens.

Lazarus introduces the malware Apple-Jesus which was primarily targeted for mac users and target to steal crypto information and database.

North Korean hackers will continuing the attacks on crypto currencies because cryptocurrency is not controlled by any bank and Government.

United States is trying to isolate the North Korea financially due to its aggressive nuclear program, so hackers are now targeting the crypto’s.
