Richard Branson who started position of Chairman in 2017 has reportedly stepped down from board of Virgin Hyperloop One.

The things may be related to the Saudi Arabia and Journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Virgin group founder has said, the Virgin group will stop investing in the kingdom if they found any role of Saudi Arabia in murder of a veteran journalist Jamal Khashoggi who last week killed in Istanbul, Turkey.

Hyperloop one startup previously in talks with Saudi Arabia to get the high speed transportation system of Hyperloop one to the country to fulfill the vision of crown prince by 2030.

But the comment by Branson may spoil the relation between the Hyperloop one and the kingdom and to avoid the consequences, he stepped down, but the company spokesperson denies these type of stories.

The company said, Branson’s one year plan on the Hyperloop one board is to stabilize the startup.

Branson joined the Hyperloop startup in December 2017 which is developing the high-speed pods that can travel through vacuum tube at hundreds of miles per hour and afterwards startup renamed as Virgin Hyperloop One.

Branson said “At this stage in the company’s evolution, I feel it needs a more hands-on chair, who can focus on the business and these opportunities,”

Virgin Hyperloop one published the feasibility report few days back on its first track from Kansas City to St. Louis with a stop in Columbia, Missouri in the US. Connecting all major cities on the route in 30 minutes.

Saudi Arabia may pull out the billion dollar investment from the Hyperloop  amid tension between the Virgin group founder and the kingdom.
